Eagles still unbeaten, Bengals back in top form, Chiefs defeat Vikings

The Bengals’ offence shows itself strong again, while the Chiefs and the unbeaten Eagles continue to impress. The New York Jets win a close one with the Broncos.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Arizona Cardinals 34:20

Is the knot finally broken for the Bengals? Cincinnati’s offence was particularly convincing in the emphatic win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Ja’Marr Chase put on a historic performance: He broke the franchise record for most catches in a game with 15 receptions – added 192 receiving yards and his first three touchdowns of the season, including a 63-yard bomb in the third quarter. Joe Burrow also returned to top form, completing 36 of his 46 pass attempts for 317 yards and three touchdowns.

The Bengals’ defence also contributed to Cincinnati’s success with a pick six by Cam Taylor-Britt, as well as another interception, three turnovers on downs and three sacks.

The Bengals won only their second game of the season, while Arizona suffered its fourth loss.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Los Angeles Rams 23:14

The Philadelphia Eagles remain unbeaten after the fifth NFL game. The Los Angeles Rams held on at first, but Philadelphia ran away with the win in the second half.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts contributed with 375 total yards, 303 yards through the air and 72 yards on the ground, as well as a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown. Wide receiver A.J. Brown and tight end Dallas Goedert led the Eagles with 127 and 117 receiving yards each.

On the Rams’ side, superstar receiver Cooper Kupp made his season debut and picked up right where he left off before his injury: eight catches for 118 yards.

The Eagles continue to lead the NFC North with five wins and no losses, while the Rams suffer their third loss of the season.

New York Jets @ Denver Broncos 31:21

The New York Jets were able to build on the good performance of the last game day in Week 5 and beat a Broncos team that is getting deeper and deeper in the crisis.

After an even first half (8:13), New York came back on the field strong and took the lead before the Broncos fought back. But the Jets defence sealed the win with a sack-fumble touchdown to Russell Wilson with 30 seconds left.

Running back Breece Hall was the match-winner with 177 yards and a touchdown – the 22-year-old scored with an impressive 72-yard run in the third quarter. Zach Wilson did the bare minimum to carry the Jets to victory: 199 passing yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

The Jets thus earn their second win of the season, while the Broncos lose for the fourth time this season.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Minnesota Vikings 27:20

The Kansas City Chiefs picked up their fourth straight win against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings gave the Super Bowl champions a run for their money, but were defeated in the end.

Patrick Mahomes put in a solid performance – the two-time MVP recorded 281 passing yards and two touchdowns. Travis Kelce caused a scare for the Chiefs shortly before the end of the first half when he limped into the dressing room with an ankle injury. The tight end returned in the second half, however, and ended up leading the Chiefs’ pass receivers with ten catches for 67 yards and a touchdown.

The Chiefs thus managed their fourth win of the season. The Vikings’ playoff hopes continue to sink with their fourth loss of the year.
