Aaron Rodgers remains the ‘owner’ of the Chicago Bears – Green Bay Packers set win record

You can count on the Chicago Bears. The stumbling Green Bay Packers led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers win the NFC North duel and set a new NFL record with the victory

Munich – 787. That’s how many wins the Green Bay Packers have now earned in the regular season.

The record-breaking victory came against the Chicago Bears, of all teams, who had led the statistics for decades with 786 until the clash. In the duel in the NFC North, the Packers won 28:19 thanks to a comeback.

Aaron Rodgers once again proved his status as the “owner” of the Bears, even if it didn’t look good at the beginning.

In the first quarter, the Bears, led by Justin Field’s rushing touchdown, led 10-0. It was not until the second quarter that the Packers got on the board at all, with a last drive before the break that rookie Christian Watson made it 10-16 at half-time from the visitors’ point of view.

In the second half, the Packers’ defence and special teams came up big. The Bears only managed one field goal, Green Bay blocked another.

Two late interceptions by Fields then finally cost the Bears the game, Rpdgers led the Packers to 18 points in the final quarter and was a key to the win despite only 182 yards and one touchdown. Field finished with 254 yards through the air and 71 on the ground, but the two turnovers were also on him.

This leaves the Bears at the bottom of the division with a record of 3-9, Green Bay improves to 5-8, but neither will have anything to do with the playoffs this season.
