With their seventh win of the season, Pittsburgh Steelers have bounced back in the fight for a playoff spot in the AFC. At halftime, Head Coach Mike Tomlin’s team was still trailing with 3:13 left. 16 points in a row tipped the game in the Steelers’ favour in the second half.

The Steelers’ comeback was aided by four turnovers by the Titans offence, including an interception by quarterback Ryan Tannehill and three lost fumbles. Without star running back Derrick Henry, Tennessee struggled again, with the offense totaling just 169 yards and Tannehill contributing 154 passing yards.

Steelers passer Ben Roethlisberger, who moved into 5th place on the all-time passing yards list during the game, accounted for his team’s one touchdown with a quarterback sneak, the rest of the points were all scored by kicker Chris Boswell. Roethlisberger finished with 148 passing yards and no turnovers.

The Steelers improve their record to 7-6-1 and are now sniffing the playoff spots again. Tennessee falls to 9-5 with the loss and now has to shake for first place in the AFC South.

German receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown played a big role once again, scoring the Lions’ first touchdown. St. Brown finished the game with eight catches for 90 yards. His passer Jared Goff recorded 216 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cardinals offence, led by star playmaker Kyler Murray, had a pitch black day and didn’t make it into the Lions’ end zone until the closing minutes. Murray threw for 257 yards and an interception.

The Panthers, who had to go into the game without their kicker Zane Gonzales, once again entrusted their offence to Cam Newton. The 32-year-old was responsible for both of his team’s touchdowns (one passing, one rushing touchdown), but saw no ground against the Bills’ defence for a long time. Newton finished the game with 158 and one interception.

With a record of 8-6, the Bills are still within striking distance of the top teams in the AFC. The Panthers stand at 5-9 after Game 15.
