The Tampa Bay Buccaneers kept their playoff chances alive with a 19:16 overtime win. Quarterback Tom Brady’s team overturned a ten-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
Kicker Ryan Succop redeemed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime: Head coach Todd Bowles’ team secured the 19:16 overtime victory with Succop’s field goal from 40 yards.
The Bucs offence around quarterback Tom Brady lacked rhythm for long stretches. Brady completed 32 of his 48 passes for 281 yards and one touchdown. The veteran also made two interceptions.
The running game did not really get rolling either. Leonard Fournette gained 72 yards on 20 carries and Rachaad White added 36 yards. Accordingly, punter Jake Camarda was busy and was called on the field five times.

The Bucs defence was able to keep Cardinals quarterback Trace McSorley in check for long stretches. The backup to the injured Kyler Murray completed 24 of his 45 passes for 217 yards. He had two fumbles and one interception.
Wide receiver Greg Dortch caught ten passes for 98 yards and kicker Matt Prater converted his three field goal attempts. On defence, cornerback Marco Wilson stood out with two interceptions.
In the overtime Brady showed his qualities: All six passes found a teammate, the Bucs marched down the field before Ryan Succop set up the final score of the game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers in first place in NFC South
The Buccaneers solidify first place in the NFC South with the win and 7-8 record, followed closely by the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints, who each have six wins and nine losses. Next week, the Bucs will have to prove themselves in a head-to-head matchup with the Panthers.
The Cardinals, meanwhile, are way down in last place in the NFC West with four wins and eleven losses. They take on the Atlanta Falcons next week.
