In the Sunday Night Game, the Dallas Cowboys show the Washington Football Team the limits. Quarterback Dak Prescott throws for four touchdowns.
Munich/Arlington – The Dallas Cowboys had already won the NFC East before the game against the Washington Football Team. Nevertheless, quarterback Dak Prescott (330 passing yards, four touchdowns) and Co. didn’t miss the chance to make a statement with the 56:14 victory.
Already in the first quarter, the Dallas playmaker found running back Ezekiel Elliott in the end zone with a 5-yard pass for the first points of the game, a short time later tight end Dalton Schultz caught the second Cowboys touchdown of the day. A pick six by DeMarcus Lawrence sealed the 21-0 lead after 15 minutes.
NFL: Dallas dominates Washington
The Washington football team, with quarterback Taylor Heinicke not having a good day (7/22 for 121 yards, two interceptions), scored the first touchdown in the person of running back Antonio Gibson.
But the Cowboys’ answer followed promptly – first Elliott ran into the end zone, then Prescott pushed the score up with two more touchdown passes to Terrence Steele and Amari Cooper and ensured a comfortable 42-7 half-time lead.

The Texans’ special teams also worked, with Chauncey Golston securing a blocked punt in the end zone in the third quarter. As a result, Prescott substitute Cooper Rush got some minutes, his 9-yard pass to Malik Turner in the middle of the fourth quarter also meant the last Dallas points of the game. John Bates only managed to cosmeticise the result with a fumble recovery in the Cowboys’ end zone.
For the Cowboys it’s on to next week against the Arizona Cardinals, the WFT will meet the Philadelphia Eagles.
