The Dallas Cowboys win by a late touchdown. Cooper Rush is filling in for the injured Dak Prescott and delivers a decent game
Munich/Minnesota – The Dallas Cowboys continued their winning streak even without star quarterback Dak Prescott, who is injured at the calf, and won their sixth game in a row.
After the 20:16 against the Minnesota Vikings, the Texans have a 6:1 record. The Vikings conceded their fourth defeat in the seventh game.
Minnesota got off to the better start. Kirk Cousins set up Adam Thielen with a touchdown pass. The Cowboys’ first drive ended with a missed field goal. In the second period, the kickers of both teams were successful once each, so that it went into the break with a score of 10:3 for the Vikings.
Amari Cooper catches the touchdown for the win
At the start of the third period, Cooper Rush, the Cowboys’ backup quarterback, threw a touchdown pass to Ced Wilson. After both teams also managed a field goal each, the game went into the last period with a score of 13:13.
The decision was made late in the game. With 55 seconds left, Rush threw a touchdown pass to Amari Cooper. The Vikings, however, could not get out of their own half.
Dallas passer Rush had a decent game with 325 passing yards, two touchdown passes and one interception. Cooper (122 yards) and CeeDee Lamb (112 yards) were his favourite touchdown targets.
Vikings playmaker Cousins totalled 184 passing yards and one touchdown pass.
