New England Patriots keep playoff hopes alive – Arizona Cardinals lose game and Kyler Murray…

The New England Patriots beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-13 and stay in the playoff race. The Cardinals, on the other hand, not only lose the game and the playoffs out of sight, but also quarterback Kyler Murray with an injury.

Munich – The New England Patriots took advantage of their rivals’ slip-ups in the Monday Night Game and put themselves back in the thick of the playoff race with a 27-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

With a record of 7-6, the Patriots now even have the last playoff ticket in the AFC. Their opponents would be the Kansas City Chiefs. However, both the Los Angeles Chargers and the New York Jets are still lurking with the same record.

The Cardinals still have a theoretical chance of making the playoffs, but with a record of 4-9, they are unlikely to do so. Especially since they also lost quarterback Kyler Murray in the game, who was injured on the third play of the game – an exact diagnosis of his injury is still pending.

Patriots defence makes the difference

Replacement Colt McCoy totalled 246 yards and one interception in the loss. James Conner scored the only touchdown. For the Patriots, quarterback Mac Jones didn’t shine either with 235 yards and an interception, but he did lead the Patriots to two offensive touchdowns.

In the second half, it was the Patriots defence that decided the game. Raekwon McMillan carried a fumble back into the end zone and all in all New England did not allow any more points in the second half.

The Patriots face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15, Arizona plays the Denver Broncos.
