NFL: Interception festival in division duel – Bears kick their way to victory against the Vikings

Surprise at the end of Week 12: The Minnesota Vikings lose at home to the Chicago Bears. The losers score the only touchdown of the evening

The Chicago Bears won the division duel against the Minnesota Vikings 12-10 in the Monday Night Game! Cairo Santos was the match winner!

In a game with few touchdowns, the Brazilian Bears kicker was able to shine! Although the 32-year-old missed the very first field goal of the game from 48 yards, he also made the decisive one with just ten seconds left on the clock!

It was his fourth successful kick of the evening – on five attempts.

Not much came together offensively for Minnesota. Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson scored the only touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter. But a total of four interceptions by quarterback Joshua Dobbs were simply too many in the end.

On the Bears’ side, quarterback Justin Fields rushed for 217 yards. Although he did not throw a touchdown, he also did not make an interception.

Only a fumble by him with a few minutes on the clock in the final quarter made the game exciting once again. But the Vikings were unable to capitalize

Bears still bottom of the table

Chicago improves to a record of four wins and eight defeats with the win, but is still bottom of the NFC North.

Minnesota now has an even record of six wins and six losses. They are currently second in the division behind the Detroit Lions (8-3) and ahead of the Green Bay Packers (5-6). Both teams now head into their bye week
