NFL – Las Vegas Raiders end trade speculation surrounding Maxx Crosby: “He’s not going anywhere”

The Las Vegas Raiders are having another disastrous season. But one thing is certain: defensive end Maxx Crosby will not be traded.

The Las Vegas Raiders have put an end to speculation about a possible trade involving their defensive end Maxx Crosby. As NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday, the Raiders have no interest in trading the three-time Pro Bowler.

Crosby himself also made it clear that he wants to stay in Las Vegas. The 28-year-old, who has been a cornerstone of the Raiders’ defense since he was drafted in 2019, has been the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks.

Maxx Crosby: The Las Vegas Raiders’ only hope

The reason: The Raiders are struggling in the 2025 season with a disappointing 2-5 record, and some experts speculated that a rebuild could begin with the trade of star players. But general manager Tom Telesco made it clear: “Maxx is the heart of our defense. He’s not going anywhere.”

Crosby, who has already recorded 5.5 sacks and twelve tackles for loss this season, emphasized his loyalty on “X”: “Vegas is my home. I’m a Raider for life. Let’s keep going!”

The pass rusher, known for his boundless energy and leadership skills, signed an extension in 2022 that runs through 2026 and guarantees him $94 million. A trade would also cause significant salary cap issues.
