Buffalo Bills stay at the top of the AFC – revenge against the New York Jets successful

The Buffalo Bills get revenge against the New York Jets with a 20-12 win that keeps Josh Allen and Co. on course for a playoff berth, while New York has to keep an eye on the competition.

Munich – The Buffalo Bills take a giant step towards the playoffs and the division title in the AFC East. Against division rival New York Jets they got revenge for the defeat a few weeks ago with a 20:12 victory.

The Bills improved their record to 10-3 and are now firmly entrenched at the top of the AFC. The Jets, on the other hand, drop to 7-6 and are in danger of losing their playoff spot. Before the game, the Jets still held the final wild-card spot.

Mike White takes a hard hit

Bills quarterback Josh Allen got better and better in the game after a rough start and ended up with only 147 yards, but threw a touchdown to Dawson Knox and ran for one himself.

Opposite Mike White had a bad night. After a second hard hit in the rib area, he had to go to the dressing room for a few minutes, but finished the game. He came to 268 yards. Joe Flacco, who took over the helm in the meantime, suffered a fumble on the first play.

Most of the first half was dominated by punts. The fans in the stands saw ten in a row before Allen led the first drive to points. After the break, however, the Bills managed three scoring drives in a row. Partly because the loss of defensive end Quinnen Williams made itself felt for the Jets.

New York made it exciting again shortly before the end with a blocked punt and a subsequent safety, but another fumble and a final drive to forget put an end to the hopes of a small miracle.
