Baltimore Ravens: Former player Terrell Suggs arrested after altercation

Former NFL professional Terrell Suggs has been arrested. The reason is an incident that took place a month ago

Two-time Super Bowl champion Terrell Suggs has been arrested for menacing and disorderly conduct with weapons. According to official court documents reported by the portal “TMZ”, the arrest is the result of a dispute that took place a month ago.

According to the report, an altercation occurred with another person in Scottsdale, Arizona, on March 10, as a result of which Suggs is said to have hurled insults and threatened the other person involved with a weapon.

Specifically, the incident is said to have taken place at a Starbucks restaurant. According to the report, Suggs first drove his car past the designated order counter and then rammed into another vehicle when he reversed his car.

Even though no damage was caused to the cars, according to the files, there was initially a verbal altercation between the two drivers. This apparently calmed down, but after both had placed their orders, Suggs allegedly knocked the other man over, which led to a further argument.

In response to an alleged insult from the man, Suggs is said to have first challenged him to a fight, then insulted him by saying “p***y ass cracker” before threatening, “I’m going to kill your ugly ass.” He then allegedly pointed a black pistol out of the window.

Authorities noted that Suggs never pointed the gun at the other man, yet he felt threatened and reported the case. After his arrest, Suggs was brought before a judge, but was released shortly afterward.

Suggs affirms: I feared for my safety

Meanwhile, Suggs himself issued a statement through a representative. “I was in a Starbucks drive-thru near my home in a quiet neighborhood of Scottsdale at lunchtime when an incident occurred with a vehicle behind me. I was getting a coffee, I wasn’t looking for trouble,” he said.

He emphasized that he felt threatened by the other man himself. “When the man in the other vehicle escalated the situation, I feared for my safety as I didn’t know what his intentions were. Throughout the incident, I was the one who felt in danger as I feared I would be followed home and feared for my family’s safety in my home,” he shared.

Suggs was drafted in the first round of the 2003 draft by the Baltimore Ravens and played 16 years for the team, with whom he once won the Super Bowl. In 2019, he moved to the Arizona Cardinals, where he was released in the final stages of the season. He then signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, with whom he won his second ring.
