Before the game against the Baltimore Ravens, the San Francisco 49ers were considered the strongest team in the NFL.
In the end, it was frighteningly clear! The Baltimore Ravens won the top game against the San Francisco 49ers by a clear 33:19.
As so often, the franchise was able to rely on quarterback Lamar Jackson, who ended up passing for 252 yards and two touchdowns as well as running for 45 yards himself. More importantly, he did not cause any turnovers.
It was a completely different story on the other side. MVP candidate Brock Purdy had a pitch-black day. “Mr. (Ir)relevant” threw four interceptions – and thus also threw away the victory.
The game lived up to its promise in the first half. A close top-of-the-table game – which also turned out to be a bit of a curiosity! The Ravens conceded a safety because Lamar Jackson tripped over the referee

Baltimore went into halftime with a 16:12 lead.
The 49ers did little after that. The Ravens decided the game in their favor with two touchdown passes to Nelson Agholor and Zay Flowers in the third quarter.
Sam Darnold also gets a go
At the end of the game, backup quarterback Sam Darnold even replaced Brock Purdy, who was injured in the meantime but could have returned.
With the win, the Ravens improved their record to 12-3 and lead the AFC. Only Miami and Cleveland can still challenge them for the title.
The San Francisco 49ers are still at the top of the NFC with eleven wins and four losses, but the Eagles and Lions lurk in the other places with the same record.
