NFL – Week 11: Buffalo Bills crush New York Jets – San Francisco 49ers in commanding fashion

On the eleventh game day, the San Francisco 49ers win in commanding fashion against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the Buffalo Bills get back on track against the New York Jets. An overview of Sunday’s late games

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ San Francisco 49ers 14:27

The San Francisco 49ers remain on the winning track after their clear victory the previous week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

A strong Brock Purdy dismantled a susceptible Buccaneers defense. The youngster completed 21 of his 25 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns. In the process, he served only four pass receivers. Brandon Aiyuk was able to convert five catches into 156 yards and a touchdown.

On the Buccaneers’ side, Baker Mayfield (29/45, 246 passing yards and one touchdown) was able to put in a few pinpricks, but also had to accept an interception, a fumble and four sacks. Head coach Todd Bowles’ team dropped a few points in the redzone in particular.

The 49ers are now 7:3, the Buccaneers 4:6.

New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills 6:32

The Buffalo Bills are back on the road to success. Against a harmless Jets team, the offense and defense were convincing.

Quarterback Josh Allen completed 20 of 32 passes for 275 yards, three touchdowns and one interception (on a Hail Mary attempt). The defense collected six sacks, three turnovers and held the Jets’ offense in check. Cornerback Rasul Douglas had a hand in all three turnovers (two interceptions, one fumble recovery).

Robert Saleh, head coach of the Jets, replaced his quarterback towards the end of the third quarter. After another poor performance, Zach Wilson was replaced by Tim Boyle. However, Boyle was not really convincing either.

The Jets now have a record of 4:6, while the Bills improve to 6:5.

Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams 16:17

In a tough game, the Seattle Seahawks let victory against the Los Angeles Rams slip from their grasp. Head coach’s team conceded ten points in the fourth quarter and missed a field goal in the closing seconds.

The referees were at the center of attention particularly often, handing out a total of 21 penalties (Seahawks: twelve flags for 130 yards / Rams: nine flags for 92 yards).

Quarterback Geno Smith put in a solid performance. He completed 22 of his 34 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown. However, the veteran had to sit out a few drives due to injury – backup Drew Lock didn’t manage much and threw an interception.

Matthew Stafford collected 17 completions, 190 yards, one touchdown and one interception on 32 pass attempts. Running back Royce Freeman wore down the Seahawks defense with 17 runs for 73 yards.

The Seahawks are now 6-4, while the Rams improve their record to 4-6.
