The Cincinnati Bengals not only have to cope with a defeat at the Ravens, but also with the loss of their quarterback
What a bitter evening for the Cincinnati Bengals!
Head coach Zac Taylor’s team lost the game and Joe Burrow at the Baltimore Ravens.
In his team’s 20:34 defeat, the quarterback had to leave the field in the second quarter after a touchdown pass due to an injury to the wrist of his throwing arm.
This obviously confirmed what had already been foreshadowed the day before. The Bengals initially released a video of the team showing Burrow wearing a splint on his throwing hand.
They later deleted it again, probably to avoid speculation. Now there are many indications that Burrow had already started the game with a sore hand
When Burrow left the field, the Bengals were leading 10-7, but after that the Ravens increasingly took command.
Burrow replacement Jake Browning, who was playing in only his second NFL game, led the visitors to a field goal drive in the second half and then threw a touchdown pass.
Jackson with two touchdown passes
The Ravens still turned the game around, although they also had to cope with a serious loss. Tight end Mark Andrews suffered a serious ankle injury and will probably miss the rest of the season.
Led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, who threw a total of two touchdown passes, they went into the break with a 21:10 lead.
They did not let this lead slip away until the end. The Ravens (8-3) are still top of the strong NFC North, while the Bengals (5-5) are bottom
