Tom Brady to the Miami Dolphins – this crazy rumour is currently causing a stir in the USA. Head coach Mike McDaniel has a clear opinion on the reports and wants to trust his own playmakers instead.
Munich – Tom Brady and the Miami Dolphins know each other inside out.
For 20 seasons, the Florida franchise and the quarterback legend played in the same division, with Brady and the New England Patriots mostly coming out on top.
Rumours have been growing for a few days that the 44-year-old is seeking a trade to the sunny metropolis. The new Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel thinks these reports are complete nonsense.
Tom Brady to Dolphins: Fake News in the NFL?!
“The Tom Brady? From the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? The Super Bowl champion?” asked McDaniel in amazement in his usual sarcastic manner when reporters asked him about the rumors at the annual NFL head coaches meeting.
“That’s not an issue here at all,” the 39-year-old asserted plainly. “I think that’s what you call fake news. “

Miami Dolphins: Quarterback discussions the order of the day
Quarterback discussions have become almost a trend in Miami during the past season, however.
College star Tua Tagovailoa, whom the Dolphins selected fifth overall in the 2020 draft, hasn’t quite won over his critics yet and flashes his franchise quarterback potential far too infrequently
With Teddy Bridgewater, the next experienced backup moves to South Beach. Like Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jacoby Brissett before him, Bridgewater has the potential to challenge the young Hawaiian for the starting position.
Miami Dolphins: Promising offence – but under which leadership?
Thanks to the trade for receiver Tyreek Hill, the signing of left tackle Terron Armstead and the contract extension of tight end Mike Gesicki, the Dolphins also have a promising offence in 2022.
The only question is: Who will lead it – Tua Tagovailoa, Teddy Bridgewater or perhaps someone else?
“Honestly, I’d rather deal with questions like that in-house,” Bridgewater recently told “ProFootballTalk. “
Mike McDaniel: Tom Brady leaves head coach cold
“Both players have clearly told us their vision and their roles for the upcoming season,” McDaniel also stressed in the Miami Herald, adding, “We’re really excited to have Teddy on board as part of the continued development.”
So for now, the Tom Brady personnel issue doesn’t appear to be a factor in Miami. Instead, McDaniel and his assistants want to focus on the quarterback potential that exists.
