Johnson had recently returned to full training after his thigh injury, but it was still too early for a comeback in Week 10.
The Texans had previously started the 21-day window. Johnson was allowed to resume training, but had to join the active roster within a certain period of time. If that had not happened for any reason, Johnson’s NFL season would have been automatically over. But for Johnson, it’s business as usual with the Texans, and successfully so. They secured a 16-13 victory over the Titans, their second in a row and third in their last four games.
Jakob Johnson: Too early to play against the Jaguars
Johnson, from Stuttgart, got off to a solid start in the first few weeks of the 2025 season. He played fullback in the first two games, where he impressed mainly in his blocking role and was also active in the special teams.
But in week three, he suffered a hamstring injury – a strain in the thigh muscle that is common in the NFL and often sidelines players for several weeks.
