After comparing Patrick Mahomes to Tua Tagovailoa: Death threats against Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill has received death threats after comparing quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Patrick Mahomes and calling them equal passers. He now defends his statements on his podcast.

Miami/Munich – Wide receiver Tyreek Hill received death threats on social media.

The reason: the Miami Dolphins rookie had said on his podcast that Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was a more accurate thrower than NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes.

“On every social media account I own, I’ve received death threats,” Hill told the “It Needed to be Said” podcast. “I think a lot of people overreacted for no reason. They didn’t really understand what I was saying. A lot of people are just reacting out of emotion,” he added.

Hill on Tua: “I believe in him “

Hill continued, “We all know Patrick Mahomes is incredible. Everybody knows that. But now I’m going into a new season with a quarterback who wants to go in the same direction as Patrick and accomplish great things as well. He just doesn’t have the accolades – yet. But I believe in him. “

Last week, Mahomes expressed “mild surprise” at Hill’s comments regarding the comparison between him and Tua. Mahomes speculated that Hill made the statement to get his podcast off the ground. However, he also said, “I still love Tyreek.”

Hill also now stressed that it had been “hard” to leave the Chiefs and Mahomes. Hill described the quarterback as “top two in the league, but he’s not the two.” But the move to Miami, he said, was the best thing for his family.
