NFL: Detroit Lions sign long-term partnership with Eminem for Thanksgiving

The Detroit Lions are bringing two special partners on board for their annual Thanksgiving game.

Every year, the Detroit Lions traditionally play in the NFL on Thanksgiving. In light of this, the franchise has now announced a special partnership.

The team announced that it will be working with rap superstar Eminem and his long-time manager, Shady Records boss Paul Rosenberg, for several years.

The two Detroit natives will advise the Lions on talent selection and all other aspects of producing the Thanksgiving halftime show through 2027.

“We are very excited to be working with Marshall and Paul, two of the most successful and respected names in the music industry, who are also longtime Lions fans,” Lions CEO Rod Wood is quoted as saying in the announcement.

Eminem wants to be part of Detroit sports tradition

“Their reputation in the industry will attract top-tier talent and help us establish this annual event as one of the most anticipated cultural highlights on the NFL calendar.”

Rosenberg also spoke, saying, “We are honored to partner with the Lions and be part of the greatest tradition in Detroit sports. We look forward to putting on unforgettable shows featuring world-class artists for fans at Ford Field and millions of viewers across the country.”
