Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams have fallen out of the National Football League (NFL) play-off race early.
Los Angeles – Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams have fallen short early in the National Football League (NFL) play-off race. In the 14th game of the season, the defending champions were defeated by the Green Bay Packers with 12:24 and no longer have a chance of making it to the championship round.
With their tenth defeat, the Rams set a negative NFL record. In 1999/2000, the champion Denver Broncos had also lost ten times in the main round. However, Los Angeles still has three games to play, and on Christmas the severely depleted team will play Denver.
Green Bay, led by star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, preserved its slim chances of making the play-offs by winning the Monday Night Game. The Packers (6-8) are in third place in the NFC North.
