NFL: With three Super Bowl champions! Four teams secure German marketing rights

The NFL continues to push its international marketing. After an owners’ meeting, it has now been announced which four teams have secured exclusive marketing rights for the German market. Among them are the last three Super Bowl champions.

Munich/New York – Four teams have secured local marketing rights for the German market for the period from 2022 to 2026. This was announced by the NFL today, Wednesday, following an owners’ meeting on the subject.

The four franchises are the New England Patriots, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers.

This means that the last three Super Bowl champions and the team from Charlotte will be allowed to market outside their home market in Germany in the coming years.

Meanwhile, it is not yet clear whether the pairing of the planned first NFL game on German soil will necessarily be made up of the four teams. However, the awarding of the exclusive rights should be a clear indication in this direction.
