Week 5: Dallas Cowboys beat Los Angeles Rams and can dream.

The Dallas Cowboys celebrate a win over the reigning Super Bowl champions with Prescott replacement Cooper Rush. Philadelphia Eagles remain undefeated, Jimmy Garoppolo leads 49ers to win.

Munich/Los Angeles – With quarterback Cooper Rush, the Dallas Cowboys picked up their fourth win of the season against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night, 22-10.

The replacement for the injured Dak Prescott did not have a particularly impressive evening, however, throwing for just 102 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. The Cowboys, with running back Tony Pollard running for a touchdown and 86 yards, now have a record of 4-1 and can dream of the big time as one of the NFL’s top teams.

For the reigning Super Bowl champions, on the other hand, not much went right. Especially disappointing was the Rams’ running game, which was held to a total of only 38 rushing yards by the strong Cowboys defence.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford was also unable to turn the game around despite 308 yards and a touchdown. Shortly before the end, Stafford threw away what was probably his last chance to turn the game around with an interception.

Here is the overview of the remaining 10 p.m. games from Week 5:

Philadelphia Eagles at Arizona Cardinals 20:17

In a thrilling game, Matt Ammendola had a chance to send the Arizona Cardinals into overtime just before the end. But the kicker missed his field goal attempt from 43 yards just to the right, which is why the Philadelphia Eagles won 20:17.

The Philadelphia Eagles remain the only undefeated team in the NFL with a record of 5-0. Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for 239 yards. He did not score a passing touchdown, but the signal caller ran into the end zone twice.

The Cardinals are now 2-3 with quarterback Kyler Murray rushing for 225 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers 37:15

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo led the San Francisco 49ers to a commanding 37-15 win at the Carolina Panthers. “Jimmy G” threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, the injured Trey Lance is not much missed in the Bay Area so far. For the 49ers, it was their third win of the season with two losses.

The Panthers, who are now 1-4, couldn’t really threaten the 49ers for the entire game. Quarterback Baker Mayfield couldn’t find any of his receivers in the end zone, he had 215 yards with one interception.
