The Seattle Seahawks have overcome their drought and won the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles, for their part, concede their third loss in a row and plunge further into crisis.

At the end of the 15th matchday of the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles have completely lost sight of the top of the NFC. They suffered a 17:20 defeat at the Seattle Seahawks.

Until shortly before kickoff, it was questionable whether Jalen Hurts would be able to play. He was plagued by an illness. He even traveled to Seattle separately from the team to keep the risk of infection as low as possible.

You could see his illness in parts of the game. He caught 17 of his 31 balls and achieved 143 passing yards. However, Hurts was more dangerous on foot, where he picked up 82 yards and two touchdowns, one via the ominous “Tush Push”.

This was also a historic one, as it meant the 14th rushing touchdown of his season. It tied the single-season quarterback record set by Cam Newton in 2011.

The Eagles’ best receiver was A.J. Brown with 56 yards. Late in the fourth quarter, Hurts threw two more interceptions to safety Julian Love. The eleventh and twelfth of his season.

Seahawks only dangerous for a long time via Walker – matchwinner Drew Lock

In the absence of Geno Smith, who is still out, the Seattle Seahawks’ offense was not convincing for a long time, but turned up the heat at the end. Drew Lock completed 22 of his 33 passes for 208 yards, plus a first-class game-winning drive deep in the fourth quarter.

The engine of Washington’s offense was running back Kenneth Walker. The sophomore ball carrier was the best runner (86 yards, one touchdown) and also caught 26 yards.

The best receiver was D.K. Metcalf with 78 yards, who caught important and difficult balls in crunch time. The decisive touchdown was caught by Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The presence of Tyler Lockett (three catches for 21 yards on eight targets) could only be guessed at.

The “Hawks” now have a 7-7 record and the playoff spots are once again within reach. The Eagles, on the other hand, are now 10-4 and effectively two games back in the race against the San Francisco 49ers (11-3) for the NFC’s top seed.

The Seahawks travel to the Tennessee Titans in Week 16, while the Eagles take on the New York Giants on Christmas Day.
