Philadelphia Eagles “on track”: Three top-10 picks in quiver

The Philadelphia Eagles have three first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. And they’re all in single digits after the fifth day of play.

Munich – When first-round picks are bagged in the thick trades, hopes are naturally high that it will be single digits in the draft.

For that you need a good hand – and a portion of luck. Because of course it depends on the season of the trade partner where you end up.

In that sense, the Philadelphia Eagles can hope for a few boosters for an athletic turnaround. For right now, they would own the No. 3 pick in the 2022 draft, as well as the No. 7 pick, after trades with the Miami Dolphins (1-4 record) and Indianapolis Colts (1-3).

Conditional on Carson Wentz

But for the Colts, who can still improve their record against the Baltimore Ravens in the Monday Night Game, the first-round pick is only available if Carson Wentz plays at least 75 percent of the offensive snaps (or 70 percent if he makes the playoffs). Right now, the quarterback is at 98 percent.

By the way, the Eagles would own – as of now – almost half of the top ten. Their own record of 2:3 is not exactly exhilarating either. At the moment, that would also bring the tenth pick.
