On Combine: Antonio Brown wants to meet with NFL teams

Antonio Brown wants to play in the NFL again. Therefore he wants to meet with the team managers at the upcoming Combine. The problem: His chances for a comeback are bad.

Antonio Brown has not yet buried his hope for an NFL comeback.

The wide receiver told “TMZ Sports” that he wants to meet with teams and general managers at the upcoming Combine in Indianapolis (February 23 to March 2).

Brown: “Putting things on the right track”
“I’m excited and looking forward to seeing these guys at Combine,” said the 31-year-old. “I’ll be out there ready to get things back on track.”

When asked which team he wants to play for in 2020, Brown said, “Whichever team wants to win. I’ll be ready!”

Brown: Comeback chances slim

The league is still investigating incidents surrounding the former superstar. There is still a charge of sexual assault in Florida and he is accused of sending text messages with threats to a woman who had reported him for sexual misconduct. Shortly thereafter, the Patriots released him, and Brown has been without a team ever since. He’s also facing charges of burglary with assault.

Due to the still pending proceedings, it is unlikely that teams will sign the player. NFL boss Rodger Goodell would probably put Brown on the Commissioner’s Exempt List immediately, which would mean Brown would not be allowed to play or train with the team.

In a previous interview, Brown said he had recently spoken with Jon Gruden, head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, but would still like to play with quarterback Tom Brady again.
