Rumors of a possible comeback by Aaron Donald with the LA Rams are flaring up again—this time, the future Hall of Famer has even fueled them himself.
Will Aaron Donald return to action with the LA Rams a good two years after his retirement, or not?
This question has been on the minds of fans of the NFL franchise for some time now—more specifically, since the blockbuster trade involving Myles Garrett.
With the signing of Garrett, a Donald comeback seems within the realm of possibility—the team was already among the Super Bowl favorites even before that.
Now Donald himself has fueled Rams fans’ hopes for a return to the football field. He reacted with an eye emoji to a post by “ClutchPointsNFL” in which he is seen standing next to Garrett.

McVay Opens the Door for a Possible Donald Comeback
With rumors of a Donald comeback having persisted for some time, Rams coach Sean McVay recently weighed in on the matter and opened the door for the 35-year-old to return.
“Aaron is someone I’m in close contact with, and I know how much respect he has for Myles. I’ve spoken with him about the possibility of bringing him on board,” McVay said at a press conference in June. “ESPN” reporter Adam Schefter also reported, citing an NFL source, that a Donald comeback remains a possibility.
Donald himself spoke out for the first time in June. Pat McAfee called the 35-year-old on his own ESPN show and asked him directly about it. Donald, on a possible comeback following the Garrett trade: “It definitely got me thinking.”
However, he has not yet participated in team activities or even signed a contract with the Rams.
Accordingly, it remains to be seen whether things will really gain momentum toward a return to the Rams.
