The Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers deliver a high-class and varied rivalry game. The hosts have the better end.

Munich – Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers got a bloody nose in the thriller in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Vikings won the division duel of the arch-rivals with 34:31 (16:10). Kicker Greg Joseph clinched the win with a 29-yard field goal as time expired.

Justin Jefferson was the outstanding man for the Vikes with eight catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns. Kirk Cousins had three scores and a total of 341 yards through the air.

For the Packers, Marquez Valdes-Scantling (123 receiving yards for one touchdown) and Davante Adams (115 receiving yards for two touchdowns) were impressive. Rodgers, who was bothered by a toe injury during the week, ended up with 385 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Both teams started the game with their kickers before Dalvin Cook (86 rushing yards) put the egg in the end zone for the first time. The running back only had to cover one yard after Jefferson had made a catch for 56 yards. The PAT by Joseph failed.

Crosby misses – Deguara manages first score

Mason Crosby missed from 32 yards – his eighth missed field goal of the season. On the other hand, Adam Thielen (82 receiving yards) gained ten yards. Shortly before the break, however, it came as it often does for the Vikings in this phase of the game: They conceded a touchdown with the first career score of Josiah Deguara (37 receiving yards).

But Minnesota had the right answer – Jefferson scored the first touchdown in half two and it was suddenly 23:10.

But the Packers countered this with a score by Adams – set up by a ten-yard run by Equanimeous St. Brown. The German-Californian also impressed with two catches for 43 yards.

Jefferson gives the Vikings the lead again

Because the star receiver struck again and Crosby held his nerve, “the Pack” actually turned the game around to make it 24-23.And the hosts? They came back in the person of Jefferson and scored a two-point conversion to make it 31:24.

This score did not last long. Green Bay needed only three plays for the next score after a 75-yard touchdown by Rodgers on a Valdes scramble. That made it 31-31, and then Joseph had his big moment.

On top of that, the Packers lost Elgton Jenkins, possibly the O-lineman tore the ACL in his left knee without contact with an opponent.

While Minnesota evened its record to 5-5, Green Bay is now 8-3. Both teams are challenged in Week 12 in the later Sunday session. The Packers then host the Los Angeles Rams, while the Vikings take on the San Francisco 49ers.
