Washington Football Team Appoints First Black Team President in NFL History

Washington continues to turn its franchise upside down: The football team has hired Jason Wright, the first black president in NFL history.

The name “Redskins” is history, now the Washington Football Team has made another groundbreaking decision: With Jason Wright the franchise hires the first black president in NFL history.

“If I could draw a leader, I would draw Jason at this important time,” said team owner Dan Snyder in an official statement from the team. “His experience as a former player coupled with his acumen in business matters make him the perfect candidate for the job.”

Wright’s responsibilities will include marketing and all financial matters. The former running back played for the Atlanta Falcons, the Arizona Cardinals and the Cleveland Browns during his active time.
