Virtual Pro Bowl: NFL quartet chases world record

After the premiere in 2021, the Virtual Pro Bowl returns to the screens this year. In the Madden NFL 2022 game, four NFL professionals are chasing a world record.

Las Vegas/Munich – One day before the Pro Bowl 2022, the NFL is once again offering some entertainment on the console.

After the premiere last year, the Virtual Pro Bowl returns this season and takes place on Saturday night. Four NFL professionals are chasing a world record in the game “Madden NFL 2022”.

Derwin James of the Los Angeles Chargers and Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns will play against Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys and Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings.

Event will be broadcast live from the Strip in Las Vegas

In doing so, they will attempt to break the world record for the largest projected video game screen on the Las Vegas Strip. Accompanying this attempt will be host Charissa Thompson, assisted by former NFL player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and last year’s virtual Pro Bowl winner, Marshawn Lynch.

Instead of a classic football game, teams will compete in “Superstar Knockout Mode” – a faster-paced 1-on-1, 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 mode in which teams have one drive to score. The team with the most points at the end wins.

The event kicks off on 5 February at 23:59 German time and will be broadcast on NFL channels on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook as well as on the Twitch channel and the iHeartRadio app.

It remains to be seen whether the teams will then go berserk in the same way as Lynch did last year.
