Tom Brady: This is what the NFL legend expects from Aaron Rodgers.

Tom Brady has already gone through the procedure with a new start after an eternity with a franchise. So he knows what Aaron Rodgers can now expect with the New York Jets

Tom Brady knows roughly how Aaron Rodgers is doing. He’s already been through this.

Brady jumped into a new adventure in the 2020 offseason after 20 years with the New England Patriots, leaving behind the environment he was used to and venturing into a fresh start with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Rodgers is doing a similar thing, having left the Green Bay Packers after 18 years and signed on with the New York Jets. He is now facing his first season with the “Gang Green”.

“There’s just a different energy to it. It’s something new,” Brady said on the “Let’s Go! Podcast” on “SiriusXM”. “It’s a fresh start where you try to take everything good and not take the hard lessons. Because sometimes the hard lessons always stay if you don’t work through them.”

Brady talks about “mental scar tissue” after being with a team for many years, “from defeats or relationships or certain experiences,” he said. And even though Rodgers had plenty of good moments in his 18 years at Green Bay, it wasn’t always all peace, joy, pancakes there. If nothing else, the breakup didn’t go off without its side noises.

But now comes the new start.

“Now you can go to a new place with a different kind of emotional energy. And I’m happy for him. He’s going to be stronger,” said Brady, who is excited to see what his old quarterback rival does in New York. Rodgers has some good receivers around him in Randall Cobb, Mecole Hardman Jr, Allen Lazard or Garrett Wilson.

Aaron Rodgers: A great year?

“They have a really good team. They have a really good offense. And Aaron, when he has good receivers, is pretty dangerous. I think he’s going to have a great year,” Brady believes. He knows a switch can work athletically. He won his seventh Super Bowl outright with the Buccaneers.
