The wedding of pop star Taylor Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is in full swing.

And not just anywhere, but at the legendary Madison Square Garden. To make this happen, the couple cordoned off parts of Manhattan. According to “Bild,” even counterterrorism units and sniffer dogs are reportedly on the scene.

Now “Variety” has reported that Swift and Kelce donated $26 million to “at least 20 charities” this week.

According to the report, the list of charities includes nine food banks, seven educational programs, three children’s hospitals, and one animal welfare organization.

Swift and Kelce’s Wedding with Nearly 1,000 Guests?

Previously, the “Times” had already reported that a request had been submitted to the City of New York to close the streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2 through noon on July 4.

According to the report, an event with 100 people was planned for July 2, and around 1,000 guests are expected on July 3.

A law enforcement official confirmed to the “Associated Press” that the wedding will take place on Friday evening.

Preparations have already begun

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed “that a detailed plan” exists, but said she would not go into detail.

“ESPN” is now reporting that several trucks arrived in Manhattan during the week and made a number of preparations.

Among other things, a huge carpet is said to have already been rolled out and then packed away again.

NFL players likely on site

In addition, several well-known NFL figures have reportedly booked hotel rooms at the “Marriott Marquis” in Times Square for July 3.

According to “ESPN,” guests are said to include Andy Reid, Kelce’s head coach with the Kansas City Chiefs, and George Kittle, tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, among others. Singer Suki Waterhouse and comedian Graham Norton are also reportedly set to attend.

According to “Page Six,” the entire starting lineup of the New York Knicks, the 2026 NBA champions, has also received an invitation.
