NFL: “Mega-games” are probably the problem
“NBC” reporter Peter King reported even more recently that the game schedule may not be released until later. “As it was brought to my attention over the weekend, it is possible that the NFL will not get the game plan ready in time,” King’s report said. Apparently, the “mega-games” played a major role in this.
The opening game, Sunday and Monday night games, Thanksgiving games, the new Black Friday game and Christmas games seemed to cause problems for NFL officials. “There’s nothing set in stone yet,” King said.
Computers working on 272-game schedule
Actually, these “mega-games” are already scheduled to be fixed in early May – this didn’t seem to be the case yet. According to the report, the game schedule crew met with Commissioner Roger Goodell in New York to get clarity on these games.
Apparently, the 272 regular-season games have now been scheduled.
