NFL – Pro Bowl Games: Swifties deliver for Travis Kelce – Amon-Ra St. Brown set to be nominated

What a great fan base: Travis Kelce secured the most votes in the fan voting for the Pro Bowl Games. The Lions also won big – especially one of them.

You can rely on Swifties. And also on the fans of the Detroit Lions.

The fans of pop superstar Taylor Swift have catapulted Travis Kelce to first place. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end received the most votes for the NFL Pro Bowl Games.

A whopping 252,200 votes were cast for Kelce, who has been dating Swift since 2023. His election was probably not primarily based on athletic performance, as he is looking at career lows in receiving yards (825), yards per catch (8.5), and receiving touchdowns (3) this season.

But he is on his way to his third Super Bowl victory in a row with the Chiefs. Kansas City is 15-1 before Week 18 and has already secured the top seed in the AFC.

Pro Bowl Games: Lions fans are busy voting

The Lions’ running back, Jahymr Gibbs, came in second with 250,082 votes. Third place went to Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (242,352), followed by Joe Burrow of the Bengals with 239,526 and Jared Goff of the Lions with 225,858 votes.

The Detroit Lions are ahead in the total number of votes received, followed by the Minnesota Vikings, Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Amon-Ra St. Brown with trick play – coach escalates with joy

And since the Lions fans voted diligently, Amon-Ra St. Brown can also hope for a nomination. The 25-year-old received enough votes at the receiver position to form a duo with Ja’Marr Chase of the Bengals.

St. Brown currently has 1,186 yards and twelve touchdowns, the latter being his personal best. It would be his third Pro Bowl appearance after 2022 and 2023.

The players are selected by fans, players and coaches, with the votes of each group counting as one-third of the overall result. On January 2, the rosters of the AFC and NFC will be officially announced.

The Pro Bowl Games, the NFL’s annual all-star event, will be held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Thursday, January 30 and Sunday, February 2. The event for the best players from the AFC and NFC will culminate in a flag football game. Former star quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning will coach the teams.

As usual, the event will take place a week before the Super Bowl.
