NFL: Derek Carr “pissed off” about Joey Bosa

The Las Vegas Raiders’ winning streak snapped last Monday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has to listen to taunts from Joey Bosa afterwards. And they are apparently closer to the 30-year-old than he would have liked.

Munich – Joey Bosa’s words towards Derek Carr were clear.

“We knew if we hit him a couple of times it was going to shake him up pretty good. Great person, great player, but when you put pressure on him, he kind of closes down.”

The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback gets “scared” when opposing defenses pressure him, “You saw it on Covington’s sack. He was curling up before we even got to him. “

Carr himself disagrees. More than that, he says Bosa’s comment even made him angry.

Carr: “He must have seen a different game “

The Raiders playmaker said Wednesday that the taunts had bothered him more than he wanted: “Maybe he was just trying to get under my skin. It really pissed me off. From there, good job by him.”

Curling up, he said, was for the reason of securing the ball. And he’s quite right about that, too. Giving up the play to protect yourself or the football is usually the right call.

“He was probably pissed because I said a lot of shit in his direction during the game,” Carr continued. “It’s almost like he was watching the game backwards.”

In Carr’s opinion, the Raiders came out of the break fighting after a rather poor first half. And by no means surrendered, as Bosa’s words suggested.

“We’ll see them again,” Carr then clarified.

The next meeting between the two teams is scheduled for the final matchday of the regular season. So there is enough time until then to calm down the tempers.
