NFL Draft: Kayvon Thibodeaux – the top talent with his own cryptocurrency

Kayvon Thibodeaux is not only one of the biggest football talents in the 2022 NFL Draft, but also very business-minded. The defensive end has created his own cryptocurrency.

Munich – He is fast, explosive and tears opposing quarterbacks down by the dozen. Kayvon Thibodeaux is considered one of the biggest talents of the 2022 NFL Draft, and the Oregon Ducks defensive end was selected to the Unanimous All-American team after the 2021 season.

But the 21-year-old is not only a great football talent, he is also a smart businessman. With $JREAM, he launched his own cryptocurrency in September 2021. The digital currency is traded on “rally.io” and is equivalent to $0.18 at the current exchange rate.

On the trail of bitcoin?

For comparison, one Bitcoin is currently worth $45,758.80. But as we all know, everyone starts small – even a currency. The first exchange rate for Bitcoin was once $0.07.

“I started getting into cryptocurrencies in high school and seeing the future in it. I wanted to see how far it could go. Now that was the next step to build my future,” he told “ESPN”.

His currency, while not yet a big seller, is certainly attracting attention. By the end of March, 1129 customers had already invested money in $JREAM. In total, more than 3360 transactions have taken place and over $47,000 has been invested in it.

At the launch, 100,000 $JREAM were put into circulation. The long-term target is 21 million of these digital coins.

Proceeds will also benefit Thibodeaux Foundation

Not only is there a good business idea behind this to potentially make a lot of money, but also a charitable cause. The coin shares its name with the Jream Foundation. Thibodeaux had set up the foundation to provide more opportunities for young people from socially difficult backgrounds.

Twenty per cent of the revenue generated by his cryptocurrency goes to this cause. “This foundation aims to train mentors to empower disadvantaged youth and give them self-confidence,” he explains.

Thibodeaux is not the only athlete with his own currency. College basketball star Jaylen Clark also offers his cryptos on “rally.io”.

“Crypto is a new field. And when an athlete is involved in it, it also has an impact on how athletes are seen,” Thibodeaux says. In general, he tries to use his popularity for this purpose. Those who buy his coins have access to an online community and a bonus system. He promises, “I will provide content you can’t find anywhere else.”

Quite possibly, this is where his career as a football player and as a businessman merge. “We’re really excited to see young athletes exploring how crypto can enable deeper connections with fans,” says Nick Millman of the platform responsible, “rally.io”. “Innovators like Kayvon are completely reinventing the way athletes and fans interact. “

A popular advertising star

Overall, Thibodeaux has been very enterprising of late. A new NCAA rule has allowed college stars to use their names to make money on the side. The defender is active in the field of NTF (Nonfungible Tokens, digital collectibles) and also has advertising contracts with the airline United Airlines and other sponsors.

And soon, after the 2022 NFL Draft to be exact, he will almost certainly put his signature on a high-dollar contract worth millions.

However, it can be assumed that he will have his salary paid out in dollars and not in $JREAM – at least not yet.
