Zac Taylor has signed a new contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. The head coach’s new employment contract now runs up to and including 2026.

Cincinnati – Zac Taylor could have done without the parallel. But after the second Super Bowl loss of his career, he signed another contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. This time an early extension up to and including the 2026 season.

The Bengals made the announcement three days after the 20-23 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. His original contract would have run for one more season.

The new contract is the reward for the work of the past three years. Taylor had led the Bengals to the Super Bowl with a 6-25-1 record after two lean years previously.

The 38-year-old took up his job in Cincinnati for the 2019 season, having signed his first contract as head coach immediately after the loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII – at the time as quarterbacks coach of the Los Angeles Rams.
