Broncos scandal pro Kareem Jackson has been suspended again for several weeks after the game against the Minnesota Vikings. The defense star’s appeal for a reduction of the suspension was not granted.

In the Denver Broncos’ 21-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings, Kareem Jackson was once again the center of negative attention.

The safety tackled Minnesota quarterback Josh Dobbs with a reckless helmet-first hit and knocked down the Vikings star.

For this action, the NFL imposed a four-game suspension, for which Jackson will not receive any pay. It was only the second game after his suspension had expired!

In contrast to his first suspension of the season, this time the original sentence remains in place. The hearing officer jointly appointed by the NFL and the NFL Players Association, Derrick Brooks, declined to reduce the suspension.

This means the safety will miss the Broncos’ games against the Browns, Texans, Chargers and Lions. He will forfeit $559,889 in salary during that period.

“On the play in question, you lowered your head and delivered a forceful blow to the shoulder and head/neck area of an opponent when you had the time and space to avoid such contact,” reads the statement from Jon Runyan, NFL Vice President of Football Operations.

Back in Week 7, Jackson was also initially suspended for four games, but the punishment was subsequently halved. Immediately after his return, there was now the brutal action against Dobbs.

From the start of the season through Week 6, Jackson’s fines already totaled $89,667.

The Broncos are in second place in the AFC West behind the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs with an even record of five wins and five losses.
