J.J. Watt signs multi-year contract with “CBS”.

J.J. Watt will remain loyal to the NFL even after the end of his active career. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year will be a new expert for the “CBS” channel.

It had already been announced, but now it is official: J.J. Watt will remain loyal to the NFL after the end of his active career and will become a new TV expert for the US channel “CBS”.

As the broadcaster announced, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year and five-time Pro Bowler signed a multi-year contract. He will begin his duties as early as week one of the upcoming season.

“I love the game too much to part with it completely. I’m very excited to join ‘CBS Sports’ and help shape all NFL broadcasts and platforms,” the 34-year-old is quoted as saying.

J.J. Watt became a dominant force in the NFL

Watt hopes “fans will enjoy the insight and knowledge I’ve gained in my twelve years in the NFL, and if we’re lucky, we’ll share a few laughs along the way,” he added.

The defensive end was drafted in the first round by the Houston Texans in 2011 and quickly became a dominant force in the NFL. In just two seasons, the quarterback-chaser cracked the mark of 20 sacks.

After a few years in which he missed many games due to injury, he left the Texans after the 2020 season and moved to the Arizona Cardinals. There he played 16 games and recorded 12.5 sacks in the past season.
