The injury-riddled Dolphins got off to a good start and took the lead after a nice pass from quarterback Jacoby Brissett. In the end, Tua Tagovailoa’s replacement had 275 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also suffered a fumble and an interception.

In the second quarter, the reigning Super Bowl champions struck back ice-cold. Tom Brady tore the Dolphins’ pass defence to shreds. With 411 passing yards and five touchdowns, the “GOAT” once again showed an outstanding game.

Wide receiver Antonio Brown also had a great day. The veteran finished the game with 124 receiving yards and two caught touchdowns. In the second half, Brady and Co. had a harder time for a long time.

The Bucs finally managed to extend their lead with a consistent running game before Brady made the final decision with a beautiful pass to receiver Mike Evans.

In the final minutes it became really clear, Evans also caught his second touchdown. He finished the game with 114 receiving yards. The Buccaneers now sit atop the NFC South with a record of 4-1, while the Dolphins slip further and further out of the playoff race with one win and four losses and sit in third place in the AFC East.

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings 17:16

Even before the game, the Vikings suffered a setback with the loss of star running back Dalvin Cook. But this was certainly not the reason for the surprising defeat. Alexander Mattison stepped into the breach and finished the game with 153 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins and his passing offense also ran their typical programme. The veteran threw for 275 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a great day with 124 receiving yards.

For the Lions, on the other hand, the offence only got going late. Quarterback Jared Goff made several mistakes and finished the game with 203 passing yards and no touchdowns. The German-American receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown showed another strong performance and came up with seven receptions for 65 receiving yards.

In a wild finish, the Lions took the lead a few seconds before the end of the game after a 2-point conversion. However, the Vikings hit back in the form of Cousins and in turn got a field goal which kicker Greg Joseph converted from 53 yards.

The Patriots offence had problems for long stretches to put a stop to the fragile Texans defence. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones finished with 231 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Despite three long field goals by Patriots kicker Nick Folk, the Texans were able to hold the lead for long stretches. A Hunter Henry touchdown in the final quarter tied the game before kicker Nick Folk converted for the final score.

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars 37:19

This was the worst possible start for the winless Jacksonville Jaguars. On the first drive, the Tennessee Titans forced a fumble and carried the ball back into the end zone. However, Trevor Lawrence and Co. hit back immediately. In the end, the number one pick stood at 273 passing yards and a total of two touchdowns.

The Titans once again put their fate in the hands of running back Derrick Henry, who delivered the next strong game with 130 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The Jaguars had nothing to counter the superstar and fell apart in the second half.

For a long time, little went right offensively for Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. 198 passing yards with one interception were not enough for a long time, but towards the end of the game he showed his versatility with two rushing touchdowns.

Unlike in the past weeks, Sam Darnold had some problems with a toxic Eagles defence. The passing touchdowns were offset by three bitter interceptions. Running back Chuba Hubbard, who once again deputised for Christian McCaffrey, finished with a strong 134 yards.

Cornerback Darius Slay stood out in the Eagles defence, intercepting two balls from Darnold. The Panthers defence also managed an interception in the game in the form of Donta Jackson.
