Broncos: Russell Wilson criticised – ex-teammate fears mutiny

Michael Robinson, a former teammate of Russell Wilson, criticises the quarterback’s behaviour and fears that the mood in the team could turn against the passer.

Munich – The criticism of Russell Wilson is growing and growing. The quarterback lost the past three games with the Denver Broncos and also gave a poor performance in the recent 16-19 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers with only 188 passing yards. Over the entire season, he completed only 58.6 percent of his passes.

The experts at the “NFL Network” criticise not only the playmaker’s performance, but also his behaviour. According to former pro Michael Robinson, who played with Wilson on the Seahawks, the passer is behaving like a “robot” and not “human”.

Robinson criticizes Wilson’s statements

“How can you stand up there and know that your offense is making that kind of a picture, you know there’s all these questions floating around out here about you and your offense, and then you just say, ‘Oh, we just have to play better, let’s move on,'” Robinson said. “When you’re a teammate in his locker room, you’re like, ‘Dude! Be human! Please. Yell at someone, get angry about it.’ Don’t just act like it’s business as usual.”

Robinson fears that the mood within the team could turn against Wilson and his teammates could turn against him.

Hoping there’s no mutiny afoot, he also said, “The guys in that locker room are going to start thinking and saying, ‘Wow, okay, Russell got paid, he got his money. The new head coach is happy he got his money, that’s all good. But what about us?'”
