Maxx Crosby recently stated that he is fully focused on the upcoming season with the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the possibility of a trade to another team remains on the table. Among others, two top teams are reportedly very interested in the edge rusher.
After the trade sending Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens fell through, it had looked as though the edge rusher would continue to play for the Las Vegas Raiders.

According to longtime Raiders insider Hondo Carpenter, the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles are among the two teams showing particular interest in Crosby.
A Crosby trade would be a declaration of war in the NFC West
“I’m telling you, the interest in Maxx Crosby is huge,” Carpenter explained on the “Las Vegas Raiders Insider” podcast. “Two teams are particularly eager: the Eagles and the 49ers.”
“Sports Illustrated” recently reported that San Francisco remains interested in the edge rusher and could have the necessary draft capital to put together a compelling package should the Raiders become sellers later this season.
Signing the 28-year-old would be a direct response and a challenge to the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams recently acquired Myles Garrett in a spectacular trade. Garrett had just broken the NFL record for the most sacks in a single season.
The NFC West would thus become even more of a “bloodbath”—with the Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and the 49ers, there are three Super Bowl contenders in the division. Last season, all three made the playoffs, with Seattle ultimately winning the Super Bowl.
The Philadelphia Eagles could instantly improve their pass rush by signing the edge rusher. Last season, Philadelphia’s top defensive player recorded just 6.5 sacks.
After being eliminated in the Wild Card Round last season, the franchise is likely aiming for a deeper playoff run next season.
NFL: Crosby Not for Sale
However, the Raiders are not actively offering Crosby for sale. Carpenter explicitly pointed out that no trade is imminent.
Most recently, the edge rusher told the Associated Press that he is fully focused on the upcoming season in Las Vegas: “That’s water under the bridge. […} I’m here, I want to be here, and I’m happy to be here. I have a lot of work ahead of me.”
The fact that Crosby’s name keeps coming up in league circles, however, has only further fueled speculation that top teams are closely monitoring his situation.
So far in his career, the edge rusher has recorded 69.5 sacks and is currently considered one of the best players at his position. The former fourth-round pick has played for the Raiders since 2019—and the franchise has made the playoffs only once since then.
