Kansas City star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has now revealed which opposing pass rusher has impressed him the most in his career so far.
Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has won three Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs in recent years and has been too strong an opponent for many defenses.
Now the 29-year-old has revealed who he considers to be his toughest opponent so far: Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders. As both play for division rivals, they face each other at least twice a year.
“I think he’s sacked me more than any opponent I’ve ever played against. So for me, he’s the best pass rusher I’ve ever played against,” Mahomes said on “Up & Adams” about his duels with Crosby. In fact, Crosby has sacked Chiefs star Mahomes six times in the NFL so far.
“No disrespect to other pass rushers – I’m just saying. But he’s the best I’ve ever played against because he puts his heart and soul into it, he’s got the moves and he’s got the skills. And I think it’s hard to have all three of those things year after year,” Mahomes said in praise of the Raiders’ edge rusher.
The 2025 NFL season will see the first matchup between Crosby’s Raiders and the Chiefs for Mahomes in Week 7.
