NFL: New York Jets still on course for success in the preseason

The New York Jets have won their second preseason game in preparation for the regular season. Head coach Robert Saleh’s team won 24:16 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Munich – Thanks to a 14-point effort in the final quarter, the New York Jets claimed their second win in the second game of the NFL preseason. Robert Saleh’s team won against the Atlanta Falcons with 24:16.

The Jets spared most of their predestined starters, Mike White and Chris Streveler shared the quarterback snaps. White completed 12 of his 17 pass attempts for a 90-yard gain, Streveler collected eight completions, 119 yards, one touchdown and one interception on 11 pass attempts.

On defence, Bradlae Anae was impressive. A sack by the former Dallas Cowboys fifth-round pick resulted in a fumble, which he scooped up and carried into the end zone.

Kyle Pitts contributes big play

For the Falcons, the starters on both sides of the ball collected a handful of snaps. Marcus Mariota converted ten pass attempts into six completions, 132 yards and a touchdown. Rookie Desmond Ridder completed ten of his 13 passes for 143 yards.

Tight end Kyle Pitts highlighted his importance to the Falcons offense with a 52-yard catch early in the game. Last year’s first-round pick should continue to be a linchpin for Head Coach Arthur Smith’s passing game this season.

Defensively, few players stood out, defensive back Teez Tabor, who is battling for a spot on the squad, collected an interception and two tackles.
