Blaise Taylor is a former defensive back who worked as a scout for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL. The 30-year-old has now been found guilty in a murder case.
The NFL repeatedly makes negative headlines with players, coaches, or officials who get into trouble with the law.
A recent, high-profile case involves Blaise Taylor, who worked as a scout for the Tennessee Titans for four years.
Taylor has now been found guilty in a Nashville, Tennessee, court of murdering his girlfriend and her unborn child.
As reported by “ESPN,” Taylor was arrested in 2024 and accused of poisoning his girlfriend, Jade Benning. He is alleged to have laced her lemonade with cocaine, presumably because he did not want the child.
At the time, Benning was five months pregnant with a fetus that is believed to have been fathered by Taylor.
Taylor found guilty on four counts
The incident occurred in February 2023. According to the report, Benning was poisoned on February 25 and died from the effects on March 6. Her fetus had already died several days earlier.
Taylor has now been found guilty on four counts: second-degree murder of Benning, first-degree murder of the unborn child, first-degree murder of Benning in the course of a felony, and first-degree murder of the unborn child in the course of a felony.
At the time of her arrest, Taylor was working as a defensive analyst for the University of Utah.
