For years, David Andrews was the starting center for the New England Patriots. His release in the current offseason has shocked the veteran.
In 2015, David Andrews was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots.
Since then, he has played in 131 games and won two Super Bowls alongside Tom Brady. However, there will be no more.
After the announcement, there was speculation as to whether Andrews would end his career. So far, the veteran has only said that he is not ready to make a final decision.
However, he only had positive things to say about his former employer: “I respect their decision. I still love the franchise and the community. We have no plans to move now. It also depends on other situations. So far, this is still our home.”
The Patiots still have Ben Brown under contract from last season. They also signed former Minnesota Vikings center Garrett Bradbury.
