NFL: Buffalo Bills dominate the New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving

The Bufallo Bills come back on the 12th NFL game day and dominate the New Orleans Saints. The defense hardly allows any points, Josh Allen shines after initial difficulties.

Munich/New Orleans – At the end of the Thanksgiving Games in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills won 31-6 against the New Orleans Saints. Head coach Sean McDermott’s defence did not allow any points from the home side in the first three quarters.

In the first two quarters, however, the Bills offence also had problems getting into the game. Quarterback Josh Allen made two interceptions in the first half and Buffalo only managed ten points.

After the break, however, the 25-year-old playmaker turned up the heat and found a pass receiver in the end zone three times. Allen completed 23 of his 28 passes for 260 yards. He covered up his two interceptions with four touchdown passes.

The best receiver was once again Stefon Diggs, who caught seven balls for 74 yards and a touchdown.

NFL: Bills take top spot in AFC East

For the Saints, it was obvious that the numerous injuries were slowing down the offense. Trevor Siemian gave his best effort in relief of starting quarterback Jameis Winston, but only 17 of his 29 passes were completed. One touchdown pass was offset by an interception.

With the win, Buffalo has at least temporarily taken over the top spot in the AFC East. Next week, Buffalo will face the New England Patriots, who also have a 7-4 record.

The Saints (5-6) fall out of the play-off places after the defeat. On Matchday 13, Head Coach Sean Payton’s team will host the Dallas Cowboys in the Thursday Night Game.
