NFL: Aaron Rodgers also on the radar of the Pittsburgh Steelers? Three other teams in the running

Aaron Rodgers is becoming a hot stock in NFL free agency. The veteran quarterback is being courted by several teams.

What’s next for Aaron Rodgers? After his stint with the New York Jets, the superstar quarterback is looking for a new team.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, one lead points to the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to Schefter, the franchise is currently in talks with last season’s playmakers, Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, but Rodgers has also emerged as an option.

Accordingly, it is expected that both parties will hold talks and explore whether A-Rod would be considered as the team’s signal caller under head coach Mike Tomlin.

But the Steelers are not alone in thinking about Rodgers. The Seattle Seahawks are also said to be talking to him about the trade of Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders in order to close the gap at quarterback. This was recently reported by Insider Dianna Russini.

The New York Giants had apparently already made a concrete effort to sign the quarterback. And for a while it looked as if Rodgers would actually stay in the Big Apple after his time with the New York Jets.

But then the Minnesota Vikings also expressed interest in the four-time NFL MVP. As insider Ian Rapoport reports, Sam Darnold remaining with the Minnesota Vikings seems unrealistic.

If the franchise from the NFC North is also unable to keep Daniel Jones, the 41-year-old would be an option, as the Vikings definitely want to sign an experienced quarterback alongside J.J. McCarthy.

Even though Rodgers has seen better days, there is obviously a market for the experienced signal caller.
