Tom Brady sets new career best against Miami Dolphins

While most other quarterbacks would have already retired, Tom Brady is still playing successfully in the NFL at the age of 40. Against the Miami Dolphins he even manages a personal career-best performance.

Munich – Tom Brady is like good wine. He seems to get better and better with age. There’s no other way to explain the numbers the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is putting up now that he’s 44.

In the clear 45:17 victory against the Miami Dolphins, the seven-time Super Bowl champion had a particularly great day. He threw for 411 passing yards and five touchdown passes. Brady has scored five or more passing touchdowns in a game several times, but never in combination with 400+ yards.

Tom Brady is back in the NFL

After failing to successfully complete a pass into the end zone in his return to New England, and with only one touchdown pass to his name in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the veteran made an impressive return.

Another impressive statistic: It is only the second time that Brady has managed multiple games with at least five passing touchdowns in a season. In Week 2, the Atlanta Falcons caught five Brady scores.

Buccaneers set sights on next Super Bowl

Last achieved this milestone in the 2007 season, when he was voted MVP at the end of the season.

The Buccanneers currently stand at a record of 4-1 and should Brady continue to deliver in the playoffs as he has so far, the defending champions should also be a hot candidate for the upcoming Super Bowl.
