Rhamondre Stevenson is currently only practising on a limited basis at the New England Patriots’ training camp. When asked why, he didn’t know the answer himself – and played the ball to Head Coach Bill Belichick.
The New England Patriots’ training camp could be in a great mood right now. But one person is not in a good mood: running back Rhamondre Stevenson.
He is currently only practising on a limited basis. Normally, this is the case with injured or stricken players. Stevenson, however, seems to be fit.
Stevenson annoyed: “You’ll have to ask Coach “
So why isn’t the nominal starter at the running back position practicing? The journalists present also wanted to know.
“To be honest, they’ll have to ask Coach Belichick that,” Stevenson said. So is there a stink looming for the Patriots?
Possibly. However, it’s not unusual for key players to not attend all of the workouts at training camp. Edge rusher Matthew Judon, the team’s star, is also limited in practice. “I trust the coaches’ plan.”
Stevenson also had praise to spare at the end – namely his new offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien. “He’s what you want a coach to be. You do something wrong, he tells you how to do it right.”
The Patriots start their season at home against the reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles.
