New England Patriots change travel plan – Belichick wants to defeat the “Miami curse”.

The New England Patriots are travelling to Miami several days before the game against the Dolphins. Reasons for this were provided by both head coach Bill Belichick and pass rusher Matthew Judon. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Patriots having a horror record in Miami?

Munich – The New England Patriots surprisingly travel to the Miami Dolphins for their Week 1 away game on Tuesday.

The reason for that? Patriots head coach Bill Belichick didn’t really want to reveal – but it’s obviously related to the poor record against the Dolphins and the weather in Miami.

After all, the Patriots have a true horror record when playing in Miami. Since 2013, the Pats have played nine times at Hard Rock Stadium: two wins, seven losses. Bill Belichick may be looking to beat the “Miami curse” with the early arrival.

Belichick: “Several factors “

Because normally the team travels on Saturdays for “normal” away games that take place on Sundays. But now the Patriots are spending a full five days in Miami preparing for the opener against the Dolphins. Plus, the players will have plenty of time to acclimatise in Florida during those days.

Belichick himself, however, did not go into detail in his reasoning for the early arrival. “I think it depends on a number of factors. In Miami, the conditions are good. So we travel on Tuesday instead of Saturday. We’ll be there earlier and can prepare decently for the Dolphins,” Belichik said.

Patriots pass rusher Matthew Judon, on the other hand, was more concerned with the climate in Miami, telling “Audacy”: “It’s going to be hot. It’s always a mindset thing, too. You really can’t do anything there – you can’t escape the heat.”

In the past, that could always have been a problem for the team when travelling from Foxborough to Miami and not having enough time to acclimatise. This weekend should be different.
