Las Vegas Raiders: Tom Brady’s comeback? Maxx Crosby would “not be surprised”

The rumour mill surrounding Tom Brady is still hot despite his clear statements that he will not be making a comeback. Now Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders, the team Brady has recently become a shareholder of, is fuelling the rumours.

“I’m stepping down. For good.”

An iconic line Tom Brady said in his farewell video in early February. While some mourned the “GOAT’s” career coming to an end, others didn’t quite believe the roast. After all, Brady had already resigned once and then come back. The rumour mill was opened.

Brady always smiled at the speculation and vehemently denied it. Even after he bought shares in the Las Vegas Raiders. Once again, the rumours started. For a few it would be surprising if Brady would actually play for the Raiders.

Crosby doesn’t rule out Brady comeback: “Wouldn’t surprise me “

Among those is star defenceman Maxx Crosby. In an interview with “Sports Illustrated”, the defensive end said: “I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Tom Brady showed up in a Raiders jersey.

The reason is clear: “Tom Brady is a competitor. He’s the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. You never know what’s going to happen,” philosophizes the Raiders’ sack leader.

But he also ranks the likelihood of that scenario. “We still have Jimmy G. And he’ll be fine, too. But,” Crosby said, “if everything goes wrong and nothing goes according to plan and we really needed Brady, he’d probably be there. But a lot of things have to come together for that to happen,” he admitted.

It is the first time a member of the Raiders has been so outspoken about a Tom Brady comeback. However, since he is a shareholder, he would need the permission or exemption of the NFL owners to play again anyway.
